Labor Day Weekend Celebrations

Getting out and having fun this Labor Day weekend is easy in Jackson County!  Hope you can enjoy these local events.

If you feel like shopping, head to the Hatfield Flea Market Saturday through Monday. Bargains galore!

In Black River Falls it's the Annual Labor Day Pow Wow at the Andrew Blackhawk Memorial Pow Wow Grounds September 1st-3rd.  Grand entries will be Saturday and Sunday 1PM and 7PM and Monday 1PM.  More details here Labor Day Pow-Wow

Sunday September 2nd will be Merrillan Lions Club's 38th Annual Labor Day Celebration. Softball and Volleyball all day long, Parade at Noon, kids games, music, Fireworks 9:30PM.  Get all the details here Labor Day Celebration

Sunday is also UFF 'DA Day in Northfield. Don't miss the car show 9AM-3PM.

Monday September 3rd is Millston's Labor Day Celebration.

Then it's back to school September 4th!

Taylor Fire & Rescue Community Picnic

This Saturday, August 18th, head to the Taylor Community Park from 4PM-11PM for the Taylor Fire & Rescue Community Picnic.

The Fire Department is preparing a delicious Pig Roast, and there will be music, kids games, kickball, a 50/50 raffle, more refreshments and at dusk fireworks! Bring the family for an evening of fun.

August 11th and 12th

Two big events coming up next weekend - you don't want to miss the fun.

In Melrose it's the 38th Annual Melrose American Legion Post 439 Corn Broil Saturday Noon to Midnight and Sunday 11AM to 5PM on Highway 108. Have some delicious sweet corn while enjoying the music, strolling through the flea market, taking a horse wagon rides, and more. There will be a Penny Hunt at 2PM both days.

In York check out the York-Northfield Rodeo at the Owen Kinning Ball Park. Saturday's events include a Gymkhana (riders from tiny tots to the "Jack Benny" class), a Lip Sync contest, crowning the Rodeo Princess and music. There will be a Parade Sunday at 11:30AM, as well as a horseshoe contest and the rodeo.
