Best High School Teacher

By Cassandra Colson  Jackson County Chronicle - lacrossetribune.com
BLACK RIVER FALLS — Brad Markhardt doesn’t like interruptions in the agriculture class he teaches at Black River Falls High School.

So he wasn’t exactly happy when he heard about an impromptu assembly Friday that was going to take him and his students away from an introductory class.

He quickly pardoned the interruption.

State Superintendent Tony Evers was on hand to name Markhardt the 2011-12 Wisconsin High School Teacher of the Year.
