Labor Day is nearly here, be sure you get out and enjoy these "end of summer" fun activities!

Saturday August 31st - Monday September 2nd is the annual Labor Day Pow Wow at the Pow Wow Grounds near Black River Falls. See their flyer on their Facebook Page

Or bring your glove and eight of your best friends to Millston's 32nd Annual MDA Labor Day Softball Tournament Saturday through Monday at Millston Community Park. They will also be hosting a MDA Horseshoe Tournament and MDA Auction on Saturday, and a MDA Volleyball Tournament on Sunday.

If you'd rather be shopping, the Thunderbird Village Flea Market in Hatfield will be open Saturday through Monday 9AM-5PM with over 160 vendors.

With Independence Day on a Thursday we have a long holiday weekend. Spend Saturday evening, July 6th, in Hatfield and see the Lake Arbutus Waterski Show and Fireworks.  The show begins at 6PM and fireworks at dusk.

Looking for weekend fun?  Check out these upcoming festivals in the Jackson County area.

This weekend head to the 29th Annual Sparta Butterfest, June 6th-9th, at Memorial Park in Sparta. Events include an arts and crafts sale, quilt show, softball tourney, senior mens hockey tourney, carnival, car show, parade at 12:30PM on Sunday, food, music and more. Sparta Butterfest

June 14th-16th is North Bend Days. Music, food, euchre, kids activities, along with city-wide rummage sales Saturday from 8AM-2PM and parade Sunday at 1:30PM.

Then June 21st-23rd is the Alma Center Strawberry Festival in Downtown Alma Center. Enjoy carnival rides, fun run, kiddie activities, horseshoe and volleyball tourneys, classic car show. Lots of food including chicken, brats and strawberry shortcake. Live music Friday and Saturday night; parade Sunday at Noon.
