Alma Center Strawberry Festival

June 20th to 22nd the Alma Center Strawberry Festival will be held in Downtown Alma Center. Enjoy carnival rides, fun run, kiddie activities, horseshoe and volleyball tourneys, classic car show. Lots of food including chicken, brats and, of course, strawberry shortcake. Live music Friday and Saturday night; parade Sunday at Noon. Bring the family for three days of fun.

Upcoming Festivals

Looking for weekend fun?  Check out these upcoming festivals in the Jackson County area.

This weekend head to the 29th Annual Sparta Butterfest, June 6th-9th, at Memorial Park in Sparta. Events include an arts and crafts sale, quilt show, softball tourney, senior mens hockey tourney, carnival, car show, parade at 12:30PM on Sunday, food, music and more. Sparta Butterfest

June 14th-16th is North Bend Days. Music, food, euchre, kids activities, along with city-wide rummage sales Saturday from 8AM-2PM and parade Sunday at 1:30PM.

Kids Hunter Safety Program Registration

Have a young person looking forward to hunting?  Registration for the Hunters Safety Programs are happening all across Jackson County. Learn more about Hunters Safety Programs at the Wisconsin DNR website Hunter Safety Education

Alma Center: Register by calling David Durni at Lincoln High School 715-964-5311. Classes will be held Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays March 11th through March 26th at 7PM

Black River Falls: Register next Tuesday March 5th from 5PM to 7PM at the Black River Falls Middle School. Students will need DNR customer number and a parent or guardian must be present to sign forms and pay fee. Classes will be March 7th, March 12th, March 19th, March 21st, March 26th, April 2nd and April 4th from 6:45PM to 9PM.  The Field Test will be April 6th and Written Test will be April 9th.

Melrose: Register by contacting Gregory Totten at the Melrose Rod and Gun Club 715-284-5923. Classes will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays March 14th through March 30th at 7PM.  

Taylor: Register by contacting Gerald Blazek at the Taylor Rod and Gun Club 715-896-2107. Classes will be held Mondays March 11th through April 29th at 6PM. The Field Test will be April 27th.
