Taylor Old Fashioned Days

May 29th to June 1st are this year's Old Fashioned Days in Taylor. The event kicks off Thursday evening May 28th with the crowning of the Queen at the Taylor gym.  Then enjoy three days of fun filled activities including a truck and tractor pull, poker run, beanbag tournament, carnival, duck race, parade, music, and food.  And admission is free.

Kids Hunter Safety Program Registration

Have a young person looking forward to hunting?  Registration for the Hunters Safety Programs are happening all across Jackson County. Learn more about Hunters Safety Programs at the Wisconsin DNR website Hunter Safety Education

Alma Center: Register by calling David Durni at Lincoln High School 715-964-5311. Classes will be held Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays March 11th through March 26th at 7PM

Black River Falls: Register next Tuesday March 5th from 5PM to 7PM at the Black River Falls Middle School. Students will need DNR customer number and a parent or guardian must be present to sign forms and pay fee. Classes will be March 7th, March 12th, March 19th, March 21st, March 26th, April 2nd and April 4th from 6:45PM to 9PM.  The Field Test will be April 6th and Written Test will be April 9th.

Melrose: Register by contacting Gregory Totten at the Melrose Rod and Gun Club 715-284-5923. Classes will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays March 14th through March 30th at 7PM.  

Taylor: Register by contacting Gerald Blazek at the Taylor Rod and Gun Club 715-896-2107. Classes will be held Mondays March 11th through April 29th at 6PM. The Field Test will be April 27th.

Taylor Fire & Rescue Community Picnic

This Saturday, August 18th, head to the Taylor Community Park from 4PM-11PM for the Taylor Fire & Rescue Community Picnic.

The Fire Department is preparing a delicious Pig Roast, and there will be music, kids games, kickball, a 50/50 raffle, more refreshments and at dusk fireworks! Bring the family for an evening of fun.
