Head over to the American Legion Grounds in Melrose for a Corn Broil Saturday August 13th Noon to Midnight and Sunday August 14th 8:30AM to 3PM for all you can eat free sweet corn, along with a flea market, music, games, horse wagon rides and more. Horseshoe Tournament Sunday at 11AM.

Karner Blue Butterfly Festival
The Karner Blue Butterfly Festival, held the third Sunday of July each year in Black River Falls, will be July 16th this year.
Don't miss all the fun: Pancake Breakfast 7:30AM, 5k & 10k Run/Walk & Half Marathon (must be registered by July 13th), Parade 3PM, Kid's Land including Build-a-Bear workshop, Butterfly Merchandise, Artists & Crafters along Main Street,

Eat in Black River Falls
If you plan to be in Jackson County, here are some great food events in Black River Falls you don't want to miss.
Saturday July 9th is the Jackson County Beef Cook-Out at the Jackson County Fair Park in Black River Falls from 3:30PM to 9PM. Enjoy a rib eye sandwich, corn on the cob, and ice cream. There will also be displays by 4-H members, a mechanical bull. inflatable playground for children and more. Hosted by the J.C. Beef Promotion Committee.
The following Friday more good food from the Black River Falls Fire and Rescue Department - a Spaghetti Dinner held at the American Legion July 15th from 5PM-6PM.
